Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a professional non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the skin to regenerate, repair and renew itself naturally and safely. It targets specific skin concerns whilst creating smoother, brighter, healthier and younger-looking skin. 

Microneedling therapy is particularly effective in reducing the appearance of acne scarring, facial scarring, including decollete lines, facial wrinkles and skin pigmentation. The treatment can also treat stretch marks.

After microneedling, the treated area will begin to naturally regenerate and repair, working below the surface in the dermis and dermal junction, to stimulate new collagen.

Microneedling usually takes approximately one hour and we recommend a course of three treatments for optimum results.  Two free dermaplaning treatments will be included when you book a course of microneedling treatments at Jacks & Buckley.

There is usually no downtime after treatment but some clients may find slight redness or tenderness to more sensitive areas.

Microneedling works by sending a series of mechanically controlled micro fine pin-prick injuries into the skin.  These fine needles are guided over the scalp, rotating and penetrating into the dermis to stimulate growth factors that promote the healing process.  It is these growth factors that also promote hair growth.  Microneedling may also be effective in stimulating new stem cells to grow - to again encourage hair growth.
